Blog No. 8 – Quinlan’s World

Quinlan turned 4 years old in January. His 8th Floor Pre-school and Kids’ Club friends came to celebrate his birthday. We had arts & crafts, a balloon artist, magician, food, and of course cake! Quinlan was considered “Hero of the Day” when the magician’s dove flew away and started attacking a Japanese family. As the adults stood frozen in fear, Quinlan swooped in without hesitation and captured the dove with his own bare hands! Good thing we don’t live in a country where Bird Flu is prevalent … oh wait … we do. ;0)

This semester, Quinlan started a new preschool, Montessori School of Shanghai. It is a bi-lingual preschool. Morning circle time is taught in English while afternoon circle time is taught in Mandarin. His favorite things at his new preschool are riding the school bus, the outside covered play structure, and his new friends, Cory, Sebastian and Anthony.
