Blog No. 4 – Happy Thanksgiving

Today was the first day we felt a little homesick. We were unable to spend Thanksgiving Day with our extended family and friends back home. However, we did celebrate it with some new expat friends. They have helped us tremendously – from answering our questions to allowing us to borrow their stuff. Their generosity and hospitality have made the move much easier for our family. We are also thankful for many other things: the birth of Brennan, Quinlan becoming a great big brother, and the opportunity to live in Shanghai.

We ate our feast at the Ritz-Carlton Tea Garden Restaurant. The menu included a full Thanksgiving feast – turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie, etc. Mark was very pleased to eat some American food.

We hope you and your family had a great Thanksgiving. We miss so many of you.
