Blog. No 25 – Heidi’s and Leslie’s Visit to Shanghai & Hong Kong

Anh Thy’s friends, Heidi and Leslie, from back home came to visit us in February and March. We were very excited to host new visitors. We showed them all the must-see tourist sites in Shanghai, as well as our typical daily life. The three girls also went to Hong Kong for a “girls’ weekend” to visit some friends and explore the city.

Shanghai - Anh Thy and Leslie infront of Meilongzhen restaurant - the oldest restaurant in Shanghai. This building served as the Communist Party headquarters in the 1930s.

Shanghai - Anh Thy and Heidi infront of Kathlene's 5. A great restaurant and bar with an awesome view of the city.

Shanghai - Leslie, Anh Thy, Heidi, Dorsey, Melissa and Christi posing for a picture at The Glamour Bar located on the Bund. This bar has an amazing view of the Pudong.

Hong Kong - Our driver from the Hong Kong airport taking us to Trish's and Nick's place. Hong Kong is the only city in China where the people drive on the right side of the road (a British influence of course), but the rest of China drives on the left side! I wonder what happens at this intersection?

Hong Kong - View of Repulse Bay from Trish's and Nick's apartment. So different from Shanghai!

Hong Kong - We went to Lan Kwai Fong the first night. LKF has an extremely lively nightlife scene with tons of restaurants and bars.

Hong Kong - Heidi and Anh Thy warming each other up at Vodka Bar. This bar had an ice room that was -15 degrees celcius and served over 100 vodka shots!

Hong Kong - The girls wearing fur coats in the ice room at Vodka Bar. Wow! It was COLD!

Hong Kong - Filippino cover band. A must see in China.
